Welfare benefits advice

The Law Centre offers a specialist advice service on social security law and offers representation at appeal hearings.

 

Benefits advice - What we do

We can advise on all social security law, including entitlement to benefits, backdating, suspensions and overpayments.

Benefits advice - What we do not do

We do not assist with the completion of benefit forms apart from Disability Living Allowance and Attendance Allowance.

 

We do not have the expertise to deal with Child Support Agency queries.

 

Advocacy and representation - What we do

The Law Centre specialises in advocacy and representation. This work includes:

 

 

We will also check whether there are any benefits or tax credits you are entitled to that you are not getting

 

Advocacy and representation - What we do not do

We do not represent cases involving Interviews under Caution as this falls under Criminal Law; however, we work closely with solicitors that deal with these cases and assist with the benefits issues.
