Administration Volunteer roles

In addition to the staff team, administration volunteers play an important role at the Law Centre and support advisers by undertaking tasks that take time away from advice provision.

The Nottingham Law Centre does not offer opportunities for volunteers to give legal advice, because of the level of supervision which would be required in order for us to comply with the Law Centre's Practice Rules and with our own quality assurance systems.

Our volunteers cover a wide range of administration tasks for the Law Centre, dependent on their skills and experience. These tasks range from routine photocopying and basic office tasks through to reception work:

What we do not do

We are unable to support individuals wishing to do work experience or a short term placement at the Law Centre as this takes a lot of time and organisation from our staff. As a charity we have limited resources and we do not think that it is the best use of these to support students in this way.
